Heart of Stone
Heart of Stone, a film about the amazing grassroots climbing community in the Southeastern US, and what many are calling a Golden Age of discovery and stewardship for southern climbing. Josh Fowler and I created this film for the Triple Crown Bouldering Series, the largest outdoor climbing competition in the world.

The other day while we were in the backwoods of Alabama on a shoot, my assistant John Kelso told me a weird story that I had to get on "tape".
check out Kelso's Flickr page. Someone get this guy a website.
O-At-Ka

Every August my agency Aurora Photos has a meeting in the woods of Maine. We get a ton of work done, I mean it is serious business.
See here: a Stillmotion impression of the weekend, all images and sound shot on a Nikon D3 DSLR.

I hope all you climbers/photographers found that status update amusing.
Speaking of which, I've been working on a short film with JFo on the grassroots climbing community in the Southeast, called Heart of Stone. Check out the trailer, and come out to the Triple Crown finals at the Stone Fort in Chattanooga on December 5-6 to see the final product, when we, ah... finish it.
Working on Heart of Stone, we've seen some amazing rock and more importantly, amazing people giving 110% of themselves to respecting the rock and to ensuring high adventure in the South for generations to come. Big props.
